Avoid ‘More Slim’ Weight Loss Products

Health Canada is advising consumers not to use More Slim due to concerns about possible side-effects.

Reason for Warning: The Hong Kong Department of Health has warned against the use of More Slim because it was found to contain the undeclared pharmaceutical ingredient sibutramine.
Sibutramine is a prescription drug used in the treatment of obesity and should only be used under the supervision of a health care professional.
Possible Side-Effects: Unsupervised use of sibutramine may cause headaches, increased heart rate and blood pressure, chest pain and stroke. Health Department of Health (DH) urged members of the public not to buy or consume a slimming product named as “Yu Xiu Tang Yang Yan Shou Shen Jiao Nang” because it was found to have contained an undeclared drug ingredient. The department launched investigation into the product after receiving a report.
